A stunning tribute to the birth of the electric bass, this Custom Built Fender Custom Shop ’57 Precision Bass captures the vibe and feel of a well-preserved original with just the right amount of aging.
Built with a sorted 2-piece alder body and finished in a NOS Flash Coat lacquer— just pure vintage vibe—the faded 3-Color Sunburst has that dry, straight-from-the-case look. It’s paired with a quartersawn maple neck and a flat-laminated AAA 9mm rosewood fretboard, shaped to a comfortable ’57 soft “V” profile (.925″ at the 1st, .990″ at the 12th), topped with medium vintage fretwire (47095) and a classic 7.25″ radius. Nut width is a traditional 1.75”, and a bone nut rounds it out.
Tone comes from a Hand-Wound ’57 P-Bass pickup, delivering that full, punchy, and articulate vintage growl. Chrome hardware completes the package for a clean, authentic look.
