This Limited Edition ’59 Precision Bass from the Fender Custom Shop is a masterclass in vintage tone, feel, and aesthetic—wrapped in a beautifully aged Journeyman Relic® Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst lacquer finish that looks and feels like it’s spent decades in the hands of a dedicated player.
Built from a select 2-piece alder body with a quartersawn maple neck and flat-lam rosewood fingerboard, this bass features a comfortable ’60s-style Oval “C” profile, a 7.25″ radius, and 20 medium jumbo 6150 frets—blending vintage vibe with smooth playability.
The tone is pure P-Bass magic, thanks to a Custom Shop hand-wound ’57 P-Bass® pickup wired vintage-style for rich, thumping low end and articulate midrange. Topped off with a stunning gold anodized aluminum pickguard, vintage-style bridge and tuners, bone nut, and a disc string tree—every detail is spot-on.
