This ’62 Precision Bass in Lake Placid Blue is a particularly strong example of the model. The AAA round-lam rosewood fingerboard is a deep, dark chocolate color, exactly what you hope to see on a great early-’60s P, and it pairs beautifully with the LPB finish.
Sonically, this one is exceptionally well balanced. The bass is lively and resonant, with a singing fundamental and an even response across the neck. Notes bloom easily, sustain naturally, and sit right where you want them—full without being wooly, clear without being stiff.
It’s been properly set up and plays effortlessly, making it one of those instruments that feels immediately familiar and comfortable. In our experience, this is a Goldilocks ’62 Precision Bass: all the right vintage features, none of the extremes, and an overall feel that just works.
