There are many types of short scale basses.  Most are inexpensive basses, sometimes considered ‘beginner’ basses.  But, as you may know, some of the greatest bassists in history have made beautiful music on a short scale bass:  Paul McCartney, Bill Wyman, Jack Bruce, Jack Casady, Phil Lesh, Stanley Clarke to name just a few.
As a rule, the longer the scale length, the more defined the pitch.  Some short scale basses have kind of a ‘muddy’ tone.  After considerably playing time in a group setting, we found this bass to have a nice “FAT” sustaining tone not found in other short scale basses we have experienced. This bass has some minor signs of use from our playing and evalauation. No dings or dent, and has full warranty.

This bass affords you the chance to “get in on the ground floor” of these new short scale sensations that Geoff has created. And at a great deal.
